Synopsis

The last gigolos are greying, suave gentlemen who spend their golden years on cruise ships as dancers and entertainers for solvent and amusement-hungry women aged 60 years and over. Employed by agencies and cruise lines, they sail the seven seas. Their reward: adventure and escape from the monotony of being pensioners in their home countries. The Last Gigolos follows how these charming hosts, along with the passengers and cabin crew, try to realise their hopes and dreams on board the ship. It becomes clear that the cruise ship, as a constructed image of people's longing for a better life, can only partly satisfy their expectations-happiness is mainly down to everybody's individual skill and luck. This amusing film is the perfect escape for those who want to set sail and see the world, from the comfort of the cinema.
